We are the priest and people of the Catholic Parish of Ss Peter and Paul, in Hutt City in the Archdiocese of Wellington, New Zealand.
Within our boundaries there are about 1,300 Catholic families or about 4,000 individual Catholics. Each Sunday, about 1,200 join in our regular worship at one of the four masses celebrated in our nicely renovated church.

Why are we here?
We want to be of service to all who need our help. As we study, celebrate and proclaim the word of God, we are always conscious of how blessed we are as a people. We are fortunate to live in a land which is peaceful, and by most standards, prosperous.As a parish community we are
fortunate to have a priest who serves us very well. We have no less than four
Sunday Masses, and the opportunity to attend daily if we choose. If you are in
our neighbourhood, whether you live here or are just visiting, call in, say
hello, join us. You will be made welcome.
(Sometimes people are shy, or just don't realise that you are a stranger, so don't be put off if no one asks who you are, make a point of telling someone.)
Our community is alive and well with numerous prayer groups, service organizations, youth ministry, and many other ways in which members of our Parish choose to practice those things to which their faith calls them.
We are venturing tentatively into the world of the Internet, offering the opportunity for you to make contact, to see how we can offer help, by prayer, or perhaps by putting you in contact with someone in your own area who can be of assistance. Our other motive is to give glory to our bountiful God who has so blessed us.
We can do no less than praise His Holy name and celebrate His goodness to us.
